Meet J. Pat Strollo
J. Pat Strollo, an Architect, began practicing architecture in 1970 with the mission of providing solid project management without sacrificing good planning and design. In 1987, J. Pat formed Strollo Architects Incorporated with the mission of providing clients with architectural programming, planning, and design solutions for the greatest possible value at the lowest possible costs. It is through his leadership and "hands-on" approach that the firm has completed planning, programming, design, and construction of correction projects that range from assessments and renovations under $1 million to $190 million in building new correctional facilities.
J. Pat Strollo's primary focus throughout his 53-year career has been in the area of criminal justice and medical/mental health architecture, which has resulted in his national recognition as a leader in criminal justice planning and design. J. Pat has designed program beds utilizing a wide range of management systems that include alternative sentencing, substance abuse residential treatment, mental health treatment, and correctional facilities. He has been directly involved in the master planning, programming, design, and construction of full-service facilities and continues to take responsibility for project leadership, planning, overall project management, and implementation for every project obtained.
Meet Tom Weber
Tom Weber / Senior Planner, has over 35 years of experience in providing professional consulting to state, tribal, and local communities seeking analysis, planning, and improvements to their justice systems and healthcare projects. His focus is to work in planning specialized community-based agencies in corrections, jails, courts, law enforcement human services, and mental/medical health activities. He has provided these services as a private consultant or contracted representative for the Bureau of Justice Assistance, the Jails Division of the National Institute of Corrections, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
In addition, Mr. Weber has provided technical assistance for human service systems, including administration, management and programs, community organization, community corrections, policy and procedure analysis, operations and staffing, and the opening of new facilities. In his work, he has specialized in developing programs related to alternative and diversion sentencing strategies in jails for special populations, including the mentally ill, economically disadvantaged, alcohol and drug dependent, and medically in firmed. He is experienced in residential facility physical and operational assessments, information management, and staff planning and impact on facility design. He has nationwide experience in completing comprehensive master plans for county corrections, health, social, cultural, and human services programs and facilities across the US.
